How to make labor a bit better with dealing with it?

What have you done in the past that has helped you though the labor process. I'm so excited to have my little girl but I'm also so terrified of labor. I've done it once, I know what it feels like, I had an epidural which was so painful to put on and in the end didn't work. 
What did you do to make labor a bit more bareable?

My hospital had a nice birthing tub so i was in there in warm water and omg it felt good! Helps you relax and dialate faster 😊

Distractions like a Mofo. Tablet, phone, tv and talking to someone all at the same time lol. Distract from that pain as long as humanely possible. 
And idk if this is just me, but complaining about pain always makes me feel better. So this time around I've told my husband to get ready for all my whining.
