Help! I feel something hard in my belly?! 8w5d

Question

So last night I touched my belly and I found something weird: there is a hard thing just a few centimeters below my belly button! Never felt that before! 
I started crying and my SO tried to comfort me by telling me a lot of things will happen with my body now that I can't control. I cried even more.
Anybody felt this weird hard "edge"? What is it? Hitting 9 weeks tomorrow.

Lol it's completely normal. That hard spot your feeling is what the doctor will use to measure how big your baby is getting later in your pregnancy. It's your uterus.

I'll be 10wks tomorrow and feel a little different in that area little tougher but I just assumed it's the umbilical cord. Not sure I'll ask my dr at next week appt.
