Prenatal Vitamins??

Hello. I am currently 10.4 and i am wondering what are the BEST prenatal vitamins to take? I currently take Nature Made brand but is there anything better out there? I just want to take the BEST vitamins for my baby.

I love rainbow light prenatals.  I only buy them from Amazon.  Retail stores charge way more.

I take a prescription prenatal vitamin because I know they are TRULY the best. My insurance covers them 100% so they are free too 😉

I'm also taking that same brand until I see my dr. Bring them to your Dr. and he/she should tell you if they're ok or prescribe your something different.

Prescription ones do have a little more folic acid, 1000 vs 800 micrograms

The problem with OTC vitamins is they are not regulated. They don't always contain what they say they do. Some stuff may be doubled, and some may be lacking. I work for a pharmacist who's BIL is a scientist who does these tests. They randomly choose items and test to see the accuracy and finds then inaccurate all the time. I asked my OB to call in a Rx prenatal because they are regulated and I know for sure I'm getting what I need. I took an OTC when I found out but switched as soon as I got my script. My pharmacy also has a program where the prenatals are free, so I don't know to have pay anything for it. So it's also cheaper. Double win!!  Shaklee is a very good OTC vitamin brand that has their own team so before I got pregnant I only used their vitamins.
