What week for gender?

We had our first ultrasound the other day, at 13 weeks. When I asked the tech if 16 weeks we could determine the gender she said that was way too early and she suggest 19-20. I'm so bummed! For anyone who had it done at 16 weeks, was it totally accurate?

You can always find a 3d ultrasound place and find out at 14 weeks and on. We just had ours at 13 weeks 6 days and the gender was clearly a boy:) it was a $75 package and we got to see him wiggle around for about 20 minutes. I plan on going back once I'm further along just to see him!

I'm doing 18 weeks. Sometimes insurance won't cover until later.

I found out with both of mine at 14 weeks. And both times they were accurate (:

I found our with my daughter at 16 weeks in 2008 and it was correct. Then in 2011 found out at 18 weeks it was a girl and it was correct. I found out I'm having a boy at 15 weeks last week and I'll get another sono next month but it was pretty obvious he's a boy lol.
