First of all the man was a medic for fourteen years. I mean does that sound like someone who would be able to mix cement? I don't think so. I'm not sure why the trial is taking so long anyway because they already accused the poor guy for a faulty ID but that charge was dropped as it actually was his own ID

I watched half an episode and realized they were a bunch of hill billies and stopped caring.

Yes. I think the documentary left out important, damning evidence, and I think the jury must have known more than we know to be convinced beyond reasonable doubt that he was guilty. I also think some shady stuff went down on the prosecution's side, too.
