So, maybe this is a stupid question... "Why am I freezing my breast milk"? I've been exclusively pumping for 2 months, every 3-4 hours for about 15-20 mintues. I'm at the stage where my milk is finally coming in great, anywhere from 8-10oz a pump. Since the fridge was filling with milk and the milk is only good for 3-4 days, I started freezing my extra milk. I read in a normal freezer the milk will stay good for 6 months. So, back to my questions "Why am I freezing my milk", if I'm producing enough milk, most likely I will never end up using the milk in the freezer. So am I wasting my time freezing it? I never ever thought I would EVER produce enough milk to freeze it... I'm still in complete shock that I went from 1oz to 10oz, but I'm very thankful. I'm just worried I'll be wasting all that milk in 6 months.
