I read the above quote and I completely disagree. My first love will always remain my first love. It was wild crazy and obsessive and wildly unhealthy. But I won't discredit it just because I am now madly in love with my husband.. I will always care about my first love as a friend and wish the best for them in life. Opening a new chapter in your life doesn't mean you burn up the old ones. Just as my husbands first love was his highschool sweet heart. I know that and he knows that. It doesn't Change that we are now in a loving adult relationship...and it also doesn't mean it's like real or important if it's not the first because it will be the last (:
