Abortion?

I am scheduled to have an abortion next week but Im really nervous about the procedure. Did it hurt? Is it normal to feel apprehensive about it? I am sure this is what I need to do I just can't help but feel worried about something going terribly wrong. Please share your experience, I would just like to know what to expect.

I understand what you're going through! I originally went to the clinic for the pill abortion but the Doctor suggested I go with the surgically method, due to the nausea I was having. I was told to come back the next day for the surgical abortion. When I went home that day I started to rethink everything, I had an argument with my mom. She wanted me to go through with the abortion but I told her I wasn't sure if it was the right thing. Things got heated and I left. I went to my ex boyfriends house, he was the father of the baby, he didn't want me to get the abortion but after staying with him and thinking over things I knew it was the right thing. I didn't sleep at all the night before. But I knew I had to do it, I wasn't at all ready to bring a baby into the world. I wasn't in a healthy relationship with the baby's father and I wasn't financially stable enough. It's normal to doubt your decision but if you feel in your heart it's the right decision for you then do it. So many times at the clinic I just wanted to run out of there but I didn't. To this day I don't regret my decision but I do still get sad about it.

I was very nervous to get mine especially because I was alone and 15. 
I was put to sleep and had it done surgically so no pain but about 3 days after I had severe cramps and clots but the doctors said it was pretty rare for it to be as bad as it was, pain killers and rest fixed it within a week.

I had the pill form and it hurt like a miscarriage, but it's not the worst pain I've had in my life. My friend had a d&c and was fine a day or two later. Good luck.

I had a surgical abortion with no pain medicine, and I wasn't put to sleep, and it wasn't that bad. They start by dilating your cervix, which starts off as a small pinch, and gradually gets worse as they go on. Don't worry, it's not unbearable pain and since it builds up its easier to deal with. Your nurse can hold your hand if you want. And if you have a good doc they'll talk to you to distract you. They dilate to how far along you are, so the sooner you go the less painful it will be. Then they start the actual abortion. The pain didn't get any worse from the last dilator, at least for me.

It's nerve racking at first, just being in the waiting room. I had one as well and I was afraid it would hurt but they are very nice and it didn't hurt at all. I was out in about 2 seconds and it was over before I knew it!

I did a speech on abortion, and I would suggest you get the surgery, it's a bit easier and more comfortable, it's also quicker and has less risks.
