Do you think this is a red flag ?

If you were with someone for a longtime and they don't bring their phone around you. Like they keep it hidden out of site. If they use  their phone around everyone else but you ? And they put it away as soon as you walk in the room ?

I was in a past situation where a guy I dated for a while never brought his phone around me and would even let it ring. My cousins thought he was being a gentlemen but I thought it was fishy! And it turned out that he was dating like 5 other girls

I wouldn't trust him unless you are able to have access to it easily. My ex who I was with for 3 years, even had a lock on his phone that I could not access and he did sleep with multiple women including two of my friends. I am with someone now where it's completely open. Even to the point we just share a phone and know each others passwords to fb, etc. not that we go on each other's accounts, but just having that trust is just really comforting and fulfilling. Try talking to him and explain how you feel and get him to let you go on there just so you can feel that sense of affirmative and comfort, if he doesn't, I would definitely say he would be cheating on you. But I hope for the best for you!

There's always the possibility that he's joined a men's health app and he's answering guy versions of the questions we find on here. Maybe he could be hiding some guys guess the body fluid post or something.

This is definitely a red flag!!!!!!  It's not polite to insist on reading through texts simply because some people like their privacy.  But the fact that he doesn't even keep it in your sight is a little more than weird to me.
  True, it's rude to constantly be on your phone, but depending on your age it can be completely normal to have it sitting on a nearby table or in your lap.  And I'm assuming you are pretty young, so it's a bit odd to keep your phone hidden- unless there's something to hide!!

It's sounds a little funny. Have you asked him? 
My husband and I use each other's phones. There are no secrets and nothing to hide. If we need to Google something quick or take a pic, we grab the closest phone. I answer his calls and/or texts and well... He doesn't answer mine cause he hates talking on the phone. Lol

I would ask him. Tell him about your past relationship and let him know it makes you nervous. He will either set your mind at ease, or act suspicious and weird about it.
