Casey
I researched and was told we can drink red wine. Can you tell me a good brand of red wine I can purchase. I don't want to get drunk but a glass a month is fine if I can drink wine. Please let me know if I can I won't see my doctor til 8th of February.

Even though some studies are calling it "safe" now I am still waiting until after my baby is born to have any amount of alcohol. To me the risk is not worth it and I can wait 9 months. Small sacrifice for my babies health. Even if I wanted to, I don't think I could, I'm pretty sure I would have a mental lock and not be able to swallow. And I love my wine!!!!

New studies show no alcohol is safe to consume while pregnant. I'd wait or just call your doctor

I wrote you this huge article on wines.. Phone died it got deleted, so... I'll try againSince you asked about red wine and not my opinion on drinking or what studies show I will give you my insight as a wine enthusiast. You would like Syrah or a merlot with fruit blends. Oak barrels tend to produce stronger notes than steel barrel. Leather, tobacco and pepper notes are very smokey flavored wine. Berry, plum, vanilla and other red fruit tend to be sweeter on the pallet. If you do t drink reds to begin with avoid any Canernets, pinots and meritages. Once you open the bottle let it breath for half an hour or use a Venturi to pour it through so you can sip on it immediately. One drink of wine is 6 oz. you can cut the wine with Sprite, seltzer etc to make a "spritzer" if it's too strong at first. Cheers Mama from another prego Mama

Brands are hard because the same brand has different years with completely diff taste. Just read the back and go off of the suggested types and flavored. You should be good

Wow I won't be drinking while pregnant but when my baby is born I'll be sure to remember this when buying wine 👍

I work at a winery and had to "swish & spit" wines to see if they were still good after being left open over the blizzard weekend and just doing that made me feel a little tipsy! Didn't swallow any but having alcohol in my mouth for the first time in 7 months reminded me why I'm not giving in to a glass of wine lol!

I would consult your personal doctor before doing so. I was told no amount of alcohol was safe.
