So, everyone's been saying in California you can start your leave 4 weeks prior to your due date for a "normal" pregnancy. The claims administrator my employer uses (sedgwick) states they don't provide paperwork for a date the doctor would certify me disabled (which at my old job they did) They stated after I don't show up to work, they will fax request to the doctor for information to justify why i need to take off work prior to my due date. Does this sound right? Its like them telling me to pick a date, up and leave and will see if i get approved after I leave? Can you California mommies tell me when you left and if your doctor certified you disabled before you went on your leave or it went a different way?
