Breast pump covered by insurance?

Has anyone got a breast pump covered by there insurance ? If so how did you go about getting it and which breast pump did you receive? Thanks.

I didn't even bother calling insurance because there are a lot of free online companies that will do it for you. My doctor recommended going through pumpingessentials.com. However, I filled out the easy form on http://www.breastpumps.aeroflowinc.com and they contacted my doctor to get the prescription and then they contacted insurance to see which ones I qualify for. Easy peasy!

Contacted the company gave them my info selected my pump they did the rest got it in less than two weeks

I called my insurance company they took care of it all! I got the Medela and it shipped as soon as I turned 27 weeks - for free!!!

I went through Target. My Dr wrote a script, I called the number Targer gave me, they verified my insurance, sent me an email to pick my pump, I emailed the the rx, then they emailed me back when my pump was ready to for pick up. I got the Medela pump in style advance and insurance covered it 100%. The whole process took 4 days.

I called my insurance and they told me I'm covered in pump per pregnancy up to $450. I'm going next weekend to order/buy one and supplies such as nursing pads, nipple cream, sterilizer bags, and faxing them the receipt

I got a list of providers from my insurance and went on byram's website.  Gave them my info and they contact the dr and insurance and send it to you.  I got the medela pump instyle and it will be here 30 days before the baby's c section.  My insurance doesn't let them send it out any earlier.

Call insurance and they'll give you a list. With my insurance, I downloaded an app that actually Knocks out any deductions we would have to pay. She said they show it as a sign you care so everything is free. But with the app comes a nurse from my insurance company and she emailed me the pump companies. I filled out my info, they ask for Drs info and sent him everything and I got my breast pump a few weeks later. I'm due April 25th.

Yes! Got the medela freestyle. Had my MD write a peescription, then filed a claim with my receipt. Others wait for the insurenance before purchasing from a medical device company, but that takes longer if you need the pump asap. Third option is to get it directly from the hospital, and they can file the claim for you. And don't forget if you have any type of health savings account, that all your pumping supplies are eligible there too!
