Second + times moms and showers?

Question

Any second time or more moms considering hosting their own "baby shower?" We were thinking of doing a gender reveal party, coed family and friends thing. Would it be weird for that to be our "sprinkle?" (No we haven't told others gender yet) 
Should I do a separate sprinkle? I never thought it was unacceptable before for a mother to have multiple showers, every baby should be celebrated!, but now that no ones spoke of a shower what so ever like they did with the first I'm feeling iffy about it. 
Just wondering what your opinions are or what others are doing! Thanks!

I'm having another shower. But my fist child was 10 years ago and is a girl. I'm having a boy and since it's been 10 years I have nothing for a baby.

I asked the same thing because even though this is my 4th, it would only be celebration #2, and was immediately smacked down by the "NO shower for you!" nazis.  Honestly, do what you feel is best for you...if that means a full on shower, have it!  A low key spinkle, do it!  A diaper and wipe party, plan that shit!  Lol.  Babies are one of the best reasons to celebrate, you don't need much more reason than that!

This is my second and I will likely be throwing my own shower. My mom threw my shower with my first however she passed away 5 years ago.  I've had several people ask if I'm having one, when it is, and to make sure they get invited but not a soul has offered to throw it.  It feels a little odd to throw my own shower. I honestly don't care about the gifts and whatnot, but given that my family and friends all live about an hour plus away it would be nice to have everyone together to celebrate the new addition to our family.

Sorry if I sound a little bitter on the subject, it just irritates me to no end that I have done bridal showers, baby showers, etc for all of my friends and sisters including second and third children and not one of them offered to even help with any of the same for me.  Sorry whine session over.

If your baby is a different gender than previous kid(s), I think it's fine to have a second shower. But, not with two of the same gender, unless they're several years apart.  It can make it seem like you want people to buy more gifts, even though you already have baby supplies from the previous child.

A gender reveal party is a great way to celebrate a subsequent baby, because it's not usually something people are require to bring gifts to :)

I'm sort of hosting my own shower it's at my house and I did a lot of the planning but I have friends helping decorate and my grandmother is making 80 percent of the food and I'm only making a few things. I guess I'm cohosting lol

Im not doing a showerr to the point of people getting gifts. Im having another girl, so i already have all the necessities i need. Im going to throw a diaper and wipe party instead! Invite everyone to celebrate another girl but to bring diapers and wipes instead of presents.

I am doing a baby shower. I had my first daughter 6 years ago. This will be my second girl. I'm also hosting my own shower at a reception hall. I think you should have one of you can.

My SIL  insisted on giving me another shower. Second little boy, 4 years between but everyone know I just want people together to celebrate. Def. isn't about the gifts for me!

With my second I didn't feel right having a shower, even though baby was the opposite gender of the first. However, 2 other friends were pregnant with baby #2+ too, and a mutual friend threw us all a joint shower. Nothing major, mostly diapers and little gifts but it was fun.

Im having one that I'm helping with, this is my third child but our first girl, needless to say I not only want one but kinda need it too. We got rid of all our baby stuff years ago.
