First period on the pill

Hey girls, I just have gotten on the pill recently and now I have my first period. Before it lasted 3 to 4 days and I never had any pain, I never felt anything. But now I've been on it for 6 days and it feels horrible, I don't even want sex at the moment anymore. Did this happen to any of you before and do you think it will go away when my body adjusted to the pill?
