Get your period while you're pregnant? Is it common? My sister told me that I can have regular normal periods while pregnant and now I'm terrified. Explain please

Answer

They're not periods as such, because a period is the shedding of your uterine lining, if that happens when you're pregnant it's essentially a miscarriage. Some women may spot bleed but it's often lighter or different to their normal period. If you think you may be pregnant it's best to wait till your period is due then take a test.
