Stop trying?

Does it really help if you just stop trying? No more opk's and BDing every other day. So many people around me are getting pregnant and they didn't even plan to. I've been told before that it'll happen when it's ment to happen but I don't understand why it's not ment to happen now.

I think they say that because planned conception can become stressful and that is no good when trying to conceive a baby, you need to remain positive and healthy :)

It did for my dh and I... We were trying for 3 months after a m/c and got pregnant the month we decided to stop trying. 25 weeks pregnant now

Yeah it helped for me .. Me and my fiancé was trying for months it never happened but the one month we said forget it we got pregnant .

I am in the same situation been trying for nearly a year. It is upsetting at the end of every month when test come out negative. Keep saying that I am going to give up trying but I still wonder every month what the result of a test would be. Sorry I am not any help. Stupid I know but it's weirdly nice that someone else is going through the same sort of thing

I personally would never stop trying for something you want so badly. I have a success story for you and a reason to not stop trying. My husband and I we're trying for 3 1/2 years before I recently found out I was pregnant. We had 6 failed IUIs before we tried IVF. IVF was successful the first time and I am now 5 weeks pregnant but if I would have stopped after the IUIs, I wouldn't be pregnant right now. Our issue was completely a male factor. I know different issues can call for different procedures but I encourage you not to give up! Stay positive and tell yourself you will do whatever it takes to have a baby! :)

We tried for 4 months.....opks, BDing in the "right" days, yada yada.... .nothing......I finally decided to stop "trying". Threw out my opks and we just BD when WE wanted to. BAM!!!! Pregnant that month. I really honestly believe "trying" adds to much stress and that's not good for your body.
