Evening Primrose?!

Question

Who is taking this now, or took this with previous pregnancies? My sister suggested I start taking it, I'm 38.3weeks, haven't started taking it yet though.

What happens when you take it orally? Anyone have side effects? 
What happens vaginally? 
Does anything come out??

Is it working for you? I was only 30% effaced at my 38week visit, not dialated at all, baby is very low but not completely engaged yet.

I have been taking it since 36 weeks. I take one orally in the morning and one at night and insert one vaginally at night. As of my last dr appt, at 38+1 I still wasn't dilated at all. I'm hoping it will at least help me to not tear of nothing else.

I've been taking it since 36 weeks vaginally. I am now almost 39 weeks and 50% effaced 1 cm dilated. I started taking it orally, but it upset my stomach. I don't know if the evening primrose has made much of a difference, to be honest.

I plan on taking it next week, which is 37 weeks for me. My sister recommended it, because she took it with both her babies and didn't tear at all. It might not work for everyone but it worked for her so I am definitely gonna give it a shot!
