So a year ago I decided to go off the pill, not to try to get pregnant but because I just didn't want the hormones in my body anymore. Prior to being on the pill for about 3 years straight, I always had a normal cycle. My period always started on the same day each month, never late. After going off the pill last January, my cycle didn't change, my periods continued to be consistent for about 7 months. Come September, my period was 2 weeks late! I went to get a pregnancy test and it came out negative, the doctor said my cycle may have been affected by stress? (I was under so much stress at the time due to financial reasons) Since September my period has been unpredictable! Some cycles longer than others. What is going on? Is this at all related to me stopping birth control? But after 1 year? Any suggestions?
