My sister has allowed my niece to have a pacifier... Though I am completely opposed to the use of them I don't judge others.

However, my niece is 4 and has SEVERELY deformed teeth because of the constant use of pacifiers. Instead of talking my sister has taught my niece ASL so she doesn't have to remove the thing from her mouth to speak. My niece has the paci at all times even while she eats/drinks... she just moves it to the side!

At this point I think my sister is simply being lazy. My niece has a complete psychic break if she doesn't have a paci to suck on. I am writing this post at 3am because she can't find her paci. The cops were dispatched due to all the crying and screaming.

I really can't take it anymore... what age did you ditch the paci?
