Who has had a natural birth?

Question

I am interested in a natural birth. Possibly with a midwife at a hospital or at home. Has anyone had either? Experiences? Tips? I'm a FTM and I'm looking to get more info on this.

I have. It was painful but sooooo worth it!! The recovery time was much faster. I encourage you to walk as much as you can before you go into labor, it speeds up everything. I'll def do it again if I have another :)

Best thing I ever did was natural as section is way harder! The only advice I can give is, relax, let your body do what it needs, the more you tense up the more painful it can be.

Do it if you can, I've had both. The recovery without an epidural is so much better, it was faster I was standing and moving around right after. Plus the delivery seemed to be much quicker. With the epidural I literally felt nothing, it was so hard to push because I didn't get the sensation to. It hurt son bad when they stick the needle in your back, and your back hurts so much after, I had to get pain meds and couldn't walk around as much as well as the recovery seemed to last longer.

I had my baby 100% naturally at a freestanding birth center. It was hard but I wouldn't change a thing. It's the best decision I ever made.

Natural birth, not by choice. I got to the hospital and there was no time for anything but pushing. 10 min of pushing and I had. Beautiful baby girl. I don't remember the pain at all. You do what you have to do, and the end result makes everything else unimportant

I had a natural (no IV or hep lock) with my 9lb 7oz girl after a very long labor in the hospital. This time I am planning a home water birth in June. You have to be very determined and informed on why this is the best choice for you. I read countless books, websites, and natural birth stories. A great book is Birth Matters by Ina May Gaskin.

I had an induced, no epidural/ pain med vaginal birth with a doula and midwives at the hospital. 7hours from water breaking to delivery, relax and walk around as much as you can. You can do it!!
