How did you get on the pill?

Just wondering how you ladies came about getting the pill. I'm 16 and want to get on it And was wondering how you asked your parents if you do.

I just got mine at central district health. Didn't need my moms permission. But I had planned on telling her it was to help regulate my periods and at the time help my acne. Which would of helped my argument of wanting to protect myself if something were to happen. I was 15.

I got on the pill 3 weeks ago, I just went to a planned parenthood and sexual clinic health for young people, talked to some lady and she gave it to me. I told my mum in the same day about it because I didn't want to lie to her and I wanted her to know that I started being sexually active so she would know what to expect and help me out if anything ever happens.
If you have a good relationship with your mum you can talk to her about it, but if you don't, you'd need a prescription from your GP to get the pill from a pharmacy, at those sexual health clinic they give it to you for free without a prescription. (If you are in the UK)

I just asked for my insurance card and made an appointment you can do it by yourself at your age
