Labor?

Hi all!

I am 40+6 and a FTM. I started feeling very gassy today, and am having lower back pain accompanied by very strong tightening in my belly. Uncomfortable and painful but nothing awful. The thing is, I've heard contractions are more like period cramps but this just feels like uncomfortable pains almost like constipation but with back pain, I'm confused if it's labor or not? I've been losing parts of my mucus plug all day. Should I start timing?

Sounds like labor! Give it a few hours tho make sure it doesn't go away, my contractions we're tightening feelings nothing like a period cramp like everyone said

I'd wait to see if it intensifies. If it does then start timing bc it's likely early labor. GL!!!!

I'm 40+5 and felt the same way all day! I went on a walk around 2pm and was having what I thought were contractions and could barely walk through them, so I thought for sure it was it! But once I came home and sat down, I've had nothing 😫. I'm scheduled to be induced Thursday night so I was hoping to go on my own by then.
