My fiance is considering the army

We are expecting our second child and we want to provide more stability.

I have had many people tell me that it's a bad idea and that they don't give you what they promise and its bad.

I need advice, i know nothing about military life or what im getting into. I need mommy experiences and if this is a good idea. I want to finish college and provide for my kids. My fiance wants so bad to do this but im skeptical. He thinks living on base will be best for us. ( we will be married before basic training )
