Do You let someone else put your 4 month-old to bed?

Question

My husband and I have been getting social invites for the next few months that take place on Saturday nights, but aren't appropriate for my 4 month old so I'd have to get a babysitter which would most likely be grandma.  While it does the mind good to get out and socialize I just don't think I'm ready to let someone else put my baby to bed yet. I also breast-feed, and nursing before bed is my special time with my little guy (not to mention staying out too long requires me have to find some place to pump).  How do you feel about it with your little ones???  I should mention I'm fine letting my husband put baby to bed if I go out for a little me time with girlfriends, but I've never let someone else put him to bed while me and my husband are both out together.

I'm the only one who can put Emmy to bed at night. We've had the same routine since she was 5 weeks old and I breastfeed her before she goes in her bed. 
My boyfriend tried once when I was working and she was so pissed lol

My father Inlaw comes and visits us and he'll watch our boy so we can go do some shopping together and when we get back almost 99.9% of the time out little man is in a nice deep sleep already. I love it!

Id definitely let someone I trust put him down. A nice big bottle and snuggles, soft music. It's a great opportunity for other family to bond with him and for baby to learn that he doesn't 'require' you for sleep.

I'm the only one who can put our son down. Oops. My husband works swing so he's not really here for bed time. He has tried a few times and our little wants nothing to do with it. When we stay out later he goes to a grandparents house and will fall asleep being held by one of them then we bring him home and do the routine. We try not to stay out too much past bedtime though.

I work nights so my husband usually puts him to bed but this weekend my dad needs help out on the ranch so my mom will have full night time duty for two nights and will do most of the day time care in between so I can sleep. Good thing grandma loves her special time with little man or my dad would be lost without my husbands help.

My mother comes to visit and stay the night once or twice a month. She's put our three month old son to sleep many times. Sometimes you need a break Hun and it isnt wrong. Just means he'll have a special bonding time with grams one night :) no biggie Hun

My husband and I are both general managers. This Friday is the first time we are both closing the same night so my mom will have to do bed time. It's hard but at least my mom is able to do it other wise it would have been my nanny.
