Sex after natural miscarriage.

We lost our sweet baby bean on January 23rd and my husband and I waited until I had stopped bleeding completely, which was about 8 days, to make love again. It was so intimate and somehow I felt closer to him. It didn't hurt at all, it just felt right, like both of our hearts were completely broken but we were connected together, healing together.

I know they say you are supposed to wait 3 weeks to have intercourse after a miscarriage/D&C, but we didn't. Anyone else not wait the 3 weeks? Or am I weird?

Has anyone gotten an infection from sex too early after a miscarriage?
