Relief?

Hello ladies! FTM and BFing. I am 4 days PP and my milk came in this morning. Both breasts are heavy and tight feeling. After my baby feeds my breasts still feel heavy and tight, is this normal? Aren't they suppose to feel relief? sorry, trying to describe this the best I can.

Fullness of your breasts doesn't really mean anything. And it's going to take a few more weeks for your breasts to regulate to what baby needs. It's hard for your body to know how much milk to make at first because baby keeps needing more and more and your hormones are trying to level out.

At the beginning, baby's tummy is so small that you tend to produce more than what baby needs. The first few weeks is when I have to pump multiple times a day and get a huge build up in my supply. Now I don't even feel let down and haven't pumped in months.

When my milk came in, my baby couldn't relieve the fullness either. I pumped the extra for about 3 days and it got better.
