Well I had set an induced date for the 24th of January... I had been experiencing some abnormal somewhat intense itching on palms and soles of feet that raised concerns for my doctors to prompt a blood liver panel test it determined I was developing cholestasis apparently it's a normal pregnancy symptom that usually occurs in last trimester that led to move my induce date up to the 22nd my inducing began at 6p contractions began then til the following day when they had to assist to dilate me with some balloon catheter that's when labor began until Sunday came and no much further improvement they began the oxytocin thru IV they had to redo my epidural site because the 1st gave out that was 1 of the hardest pains to deal because by then the contractions were a lot more closer and stronger and I had to keep still while they redid my epidural site. (painful!!) Luckily with the new site was able to get sum relief and was able to actually sleep a bit for about maybe 2hrs until I was awaken and told that they had to get me prepped and ready for C-section because the oxytocin meds is making my baby's heart rate dip every time they gave it and increased it apparently my son was not tolerating the medication. It was a scary moment for my family who was with me and myself at the time but I wanted to be alert and hear my son's 1st cry when taken out so as bizarre and somewhat freaky feeling when they are tugging and pulling no pain of course but if I wasn't taking deep breaths and so adamant in having to be alert to hear my son cry to reassure me he was going to be ok and also my man sitting besides me talking me thru keeping me calm and telling me positive words I wouldn't have gone thru it. My son cried as soon as he was out I def shed a few tears... he had some rapid breathing issues when he was born so they had to put a breathing mask snd taken to NICU I unfortunately didn't get to see him till the next day. I was discharged that following Thursday he had to remain til Saturday. I thank god every day all went good and that he watched over us.
