Switching birth control?

I currently have nexplanon I've had it for about a year and a half. When it's time to renew or switch I've been considering an IUD for something more long term. Has anyone here done that switch?? Did you have any side effects? Any advice would help

I did that switch!! I've had no side effects with my IUD, minus the mild discomfort that's normal for the first couple days after you get it in :)

I had the nexplanon for about 1 year and a half, then made the switch to the Copper IUD, it's not hormonal. So far it's good for me. I got it a few days ago lol
