Baby Oliver

Heidi
Ok I don't want to scare anyone with my story of birth  but feel like I should share just like everyone else my little Oliver Leo is now a week and going strong ok here it goes.
I've had a difficult pregnancy had uti but didn't know for 20 weeks by the time I found out I had developed a kidney infection. I started to have low constant cramps at 27 weeks pregnant so was diagnosed with IU. After all that the last of my pregnancy was ok resting  with a 9 and 11 year olds at home. From 38 weeks the took me off my medication to stop the constent contractions so I had contractions 5min apart 1min in langth on and off went into ED 3 times but because my cervix had no change so off home I'd go . So I mad in my mind they would ha e to be painful and timed close. Ha yeah right didn't go well. I started to have contractions 20 min apart  but my stomach wasn't tightening at all just my back was extream but I didn't think it would be anything to worry about because it didn't  feel like anything anyone had told me about so  I cooked dinner and cleaned my house  after a hour the contractions where 5 min  apart and I couldn't handle the pain no longer so off to hospital I went. I got to hospital but as ushal my cervix had not changed  but because my pain was so bad they had me in short stay. They gave me pethidine it didn't help  with the pain I was having in my back at all  it did however make me dozy between the contractions. my  poor partner could do nothing to help  I was strapped down with  monitoring. During the next hour my contractions became 2min apart and more painful in my back  I was even yelling epidural and holly fuck ( sorry language) I managed to get a heat pack on my back witch was a relief with my slow breathing  I managed. Not long after my hips felt like they  where On fire. The nurse ran in saying get on your side  get on your side your baby's heart rate is dropping I yelled at her I couldn't it hurt to much it felt like he was just there. Doctors and midwifes ran in  and checked my cervix which wasn't there anymore and he was actually right there. They rushed me up stairs telling me not to push and to deep breath which was difficult with two pushes my little miracle was born. It only took at most 2 hours from start to finish of my labor
Sorry for the long story but that that's how my  amazing little man was born
