Infertility

After a year of TTC #1, my husband and I learned we are both the cause of our inability to conceive. Totally blindsided.

We went into testing feeling timing was to blame as we are both young and healthy. He is 31 and I am 33. Turns out I have diminished ovarian reserve, that of a woman in her 40s, and and he has extremely poor morphology, only 2% healthy sperm.

I always had a feeling my thyroid was underactive, and it turns out it was according to my most recent bloodwork. I saw my Primary 3 years ago with a complaint of fatigue and after a borderline blood test indicating hypothyroidism, was told I was normal and sent on my way. I feel like if this was addressed then, a lot of this would not be an issue. Ladies, if you feel off, make an appointment. Do not hesitate to get a second opinion!

As for treatment, we are beginning hormones immediately to attempt IVF/ICSI. Fingers crossed. So hard to stay hopeful.
