Zika scare

Hi guys,

I need a word of advice - I travelled with my husband to Panama and Costa Rica for holidays, got back to Europe on the 8th of January. We planned to start the 2nd stimulated cycle right away (we did an unsuccessful round of gonal-f in October and had to postpone since, due to work and travel schedule). So upon return, I started the treatment and a week later, the entire Zika scare exploded. When the countries we visited were added to the list of countries were the virus has spread, I was already doing the injectables for 7 days and we hesitated whether to stop or continue.

We had an appointment with an infectionist, he said that the protocol was not to ttc for 4-6 week upon arrival, we have returned 5 weeks ago. Nevertheless, with all the info now about the possible transmission through sperm got us worried and no one really knows what to tell us, as the research is still ongoing.

So, basically, on Monday I go for the u/s and bloodwork to see if my eggs have matured and to decide when to do the iui.

What would you do? We have discussed it a lot and the risks are minimal, nevertheless they are still there...
