Period or postpartum bleeding?

I had my baby almost 5 weeks ago bleed for about 2 weeks postpartum then just brown spotting on and off. Yesterday started red bleeding and today bright red and heavier. Is this my period starting or still considered postpartum bleeding. I am nursing and pumping was under the impression I wouldn't get a period for at least a few months.

After having both my boys I had postpartum bleeding for only 5 weeks then right around 7 weeks got my period again. I even pumped and exclusively breastfeed. Some women get  their periods sooner after baby. Some don't get it at all while breastfeeding. If you think your period is to heavy or you have blood clots bigger than a quarter talk to your doctor but you should be fine.

No you'll probably get bleeding in another 30days and that will be it, that's what happened with me at least . I haven't bleed since .
