to douche or not to douche?

So recently my husband said how his ex's use to douche atleast once every few months, now personally I never grew up in a home where that was something I was taught I needed to do to take care of myself, So ladies my question is do you douche or not?

The vagina is self cleaning. You shouldn't have to douche. And if you do, don't do it during pregnancy!

I don't know why your husband would bring up an ex if you are married. Who the hell cares what she did.

No! Absolutely not. The vagina is a self cleaning organ. Doing anything extra, such as douching, can throw off the pH balance. So no. Just no. Who cares what his ex did. You aren't her. He can get over it.

I did it before I got pregnant once a month after i had my cycle just feel like it cleans everything good! Not everyone does it & if you don't it's not s big deal if you have never done it then no need to start now! Your SO shouldn't be bringing up his ex and what she did, nobody cares!

I've had several of my doctors tell me not to douche at all. If you have any kind of an infection it can push it up and make it worste. Also it can mess up your ph levels

Douching is not a good method. The vagina is self cleaning, that's why you have discharge. Douching will mess with the PH balance of your vagina leading to a bigger chance of infection, BV, UTI, etc.  Do NOT douche.
