How did you tell people?

How did you tell people you had a miscarriage? I miscarried the day after we made our Facebook announcement at 9 weeks. I'm terrified of being out somewhere and having someone congratulate me about the pregnancy and me having to tell them what happened.

We lost our wee bean at 6 weeks so we hadn't told many people. Telling those that did know involved a LOT of tears, people don't know what to say but they do try. The 'how are you?' Question is the one I find the hardest....I never know what to say because if I told the truth I'd burst into tears and not be able to stop so I shrug and say 'I'm ok'. We text/called immediate family (we had only told them about the pregnancy ). When I was ready to talk about it more I made a Facebook post. I didn't want to keep my baby or the loss of my baby a secret. Only one person was insensitive everyone else was very kind and supportive. It felt like a relief to put it out there and be able to grieve openly.

It's been over a week that I had my loss and I am still grieving. Only close family members know because my mom told them. I have asked friends and family to give me space for these 2 weeks I am on bed rest. But I am planning to announce it on FB next week after I know the cause of why I lost my baby boy. And mention to not bring up the subject the next time they see me because everything I put on FB will be all they need to know

I had my first miscarriage Sept. 2015. I posted this and a picture of my SO. I didn't exactly say what happened but most everyone figured it out pretty quickly and showed me nothing but love and support. I am now experiencing my 2nd miscarriage in 5 months and I'm still trying to figure out how I'm going to tell the people that did know I was pregnant this time 😔
