IVF Pros and Cons?

Hi ladies, I'm 32 going on 33, generally very healthy. I eat clean, exercise 5 days a week, quit smoking a few months ago, but do occasionally indulge too much on the alcohol because I'm so stressed at work and need a release! Thoughts on IVF?? We have been trying over a year now and I am starting to think we need to try a new option. I've been on Letrozole for 4 months. Pros? Cons? Thoughts? It's so expensive too I'm worried about wasting or o money bc we need a new roof too 😔

I would wait. Not only is it expensive it is emotionally and physically very hard. And there is no guarantee it will work either. I'd maybe do some tests to make sure your hormones aren't out of whack and your tubes are open and there aren't any issues with your uterus or his sperm and if everything comes back good give it a while longer.

Thanks ladies! I've actually already been going to the fertility specialist for 10 months now, and they did all the tests on my tubes and hormones and that was how i started the letrozole based on not ovulating until later than normal but they found no other issues. I am really thinking my stress at work is the issue but i don't know how to reduce it bc i already exercise a ton and do yoga. I've been trying to drink less and take less of my anxiety meds but it's so hard because it's really bad at times!

I did an IUI first before jumping into IVF. It's much cheaper at $500 for me, and worked on the first try.
