When did you go on maternity leave

I was not planing on go on leave from work until the end of march but I don't think my plans are going to work out. I work in a daycare an keep getting sick. Dr said it most like do to working at the daycare and I should think of taking my leave

I wouldn't that means less time home with baby.  I'm due April 21 and I decided to work the first week in April then go out.  I get 16 weeks though and I plan on spending that last week home with my 3 year old just me and him hopefully.  My csection will be the week before my due date.

I ended up starting early and today is my first day! I started it at 32.5 weeks

Doctor took me out as of yesterday due to gestational hypertension. I'm a special Ed teacher so she didn't that would be a stress free enough environment for me to keep my blood pressure where it needs to be. Stressing over two months of cut paycheck we weren't counting on and now I may need to go back for the last month of school bc she wants to deliver baby boy at 37 weeks.

I'm a teacher And I swear I've been sick more the last month than I have been in my last 3 years of teaching!! I'm still sticking in there until my due date though. Gotta bring home some paychecks!

My work is wanting me to go on leave to. My problem is it unpaid either way. I can use my vacation but that's just 5 days. 5 days is not enough time. They told me to take all the time I need.

I'm due April 3rd and will start unpaid leave on March 26th. I will have to use my vaca I've saved up and my job does not offer short term disability.

Honestly it depends on where you live. If you live in ca I would take off whenever you doctor wants you off as it will just be disability and won't effect the time you get with the baby after he/she is born. My doctor plans to take me off at 36 weeks but I work I very tiring, on my feet 9 hour a day job that is already getting to me (32 weeks) so she said if I feel like I need to go earlier I can. Luckily ca lets you have a good amount of disability before your baby is due for health reasons without effecting the fmla you get after baby comes.
