Did you cry the first time you held your baby?

My friend was in the room when I had my first, and as pushy as she is, she ran over and grabbed my baby first. So everyone else got to see her before me. So I lost that direct attachment after having her. Which was sad. Really glad that this round, it'll just be me and my husband in the room. Then my daughter will come in, then his mom, then my parents. I'm in control this time!!

I had some happy tears when they put him on my chest and my husband kept rubbing the side of my face and telling me how good I did. Then when my mom and stepdad got there to visit I had more happy tears but it may have also been I was so tired that I was tearing up lol then when my stepdaughter got there I had more tears. I never bawled though

I cried when she first came out but her heart rate had been dropping during contractions so they took her immediately and then I started losing a lot of blood and I  was getting 8 stitches and an IV put in. I was so scared for both of us. By the time I held her nearly an hour later, I was so emotionally drained I couldn't cry. My husband cried enough for the two of us though 😉

I did with my first child but not with my second. Probably due to the fact that second baby came so quickly, I was in  a bit of shock that she was here already!! Lol
