Anyone ever have ringworm? Or know about it?

I'm 7 months pregnant and got this rash on my chest.. I went to my obgyn and he told me it was ring worm but he didn't really know and told me to see a dermatologist! I can't find an openings  for at least 20 days! My question to you guys is does this look like ring worm or not? I just don't want to treat it of its not! Also I have a cat and I thought you got ring worm from cats but my doctor said that's not true.. and I don't need to treat my cat for anything.

WELP UPDATE. *so my cats and I both have the ring worm and we're all being treated for it at least we know what it is. Which is just pills for them and cream for meeee so thanks everybody for your helps! :)

Ring worm has a few different looks if your worried see your Dr, its not that uncommon so nothing to stress about my daughter got one on her dang head as a toddler from a rescue cat wed saved (in the hair it causes a bald spot until completely healed) and I had to use cream and special medicated shampoo but on your skin they'll tell you just over the counter anti fungal like for athletes foot and if that doesn't work they'll prescribe a stronger cream

Maybe look up pitiriosis roseaea (probably not how it's spelt lol) and a herold spot. I had it when I was younger and they put me on antibiotics for ringworm for a month before they figured it out 😕

It could be but ring worm. Here's an image from Google. 
Ringworm is caused by a fungal infection therefore treated with antifungal medications. It's also is very contagious and spreads easily, like chicken pox, so avoid touching it as much as possible.

Hiya, I'm a hairdresser, so I know how to look for stuff like this.. In my experience, this does not look like ringworm. Ringworm is more of a circle shaped rash with a ring inside it that looks like and feels like there is a worm underneath your skin. If that's how it feels then go to your doctor immediately. I would recomend going to your doctor anyway but to me it isn't ringworm or doesn't look like anything serious.

Just get some otc anti fungle cream like for jock itch put on a few times a day. When it's completely gone continue putting it on there for another week or so to make sure it doesn't come back.

I had ringworm on my inner knee when I played high school basketball. Must have gotten it from the training area when we did our morning strength training. From the picture you put, that doesn't look like ringworm. But I would check with your doctor to be sure!

Do you have a black light?  Ringworm will glow when viewed under one.  I had it a year ago and treated with otc antifungal cream and it went away. Oh the joys of working at a vet.

Doesn't look like ringworm... but you CAN get ringworm from a cat if they have it as well.
