Anyone with the Skyla iud (or its big sister, Mirena) not have a period after having it inserted? The reason I'm asking is because I was told that my periods would likely 'stop'- I would have some of the regular symptoms but no blood. It's been 7 months and I still have it although it seems like the amount of blood is less each month. Anyone else have a similar experience? My sister had the Mirena and didn't have a period but a friend continued to have hers.. Guess it depends on the body type
