Stopping progesterone?

I've been on progesterone supplements since the day after I was inseminated (iui) I'm now 11+5 and they're wanting me to stop my progesterone. I've already had a subchorionic hematoma so I'm really nervous to stop. Can't it makes me lose my baby? I'd rather take progesterone throughout the pregnancy than risk my baby.

We did ivf and I tapered off progesterone starting at eight weeks, and was totally off at ten weeks three days. The placenta has taken over by then. They didn't bother checking my levels or anything. The twins looked good on the ultrasounds so he said go for it. Now 14w3d and they're still healthy as can be. I know it's scary, but progesterone isn't ment to be taken throughout a whole pregnancy.

Tomorrow at 11w6d will be my last suppository. My fertility dr said she only keeps people on for 10 weeks but since I was anxious from previous miscarriages she said to stay until 12 weeks. Nervous, but kind of excited to be "graduating" from them!

I am 13+1 with IVF twins. I was on progesterone injections and suppositories since the beginning for very low levels. The injections stopped at 10 and the suppositories stopped at 12 weeks. I was also very nervous, but my levels have remained normal and both babies are healthy 😊

We did ivf and were taken off progesterone and all meds at 10 weeks. My re said the placenta takes over at about 8 weeks, and they overlap with the meds as a precaution. I'm now 12 weeks and progressing well.

I'm pregnant after IVF and was on progesterone until 12 weeks, the clinic said that between 10-12 weeks the placenta takes over progesterone production so supplements are no longer needed. I'm currently 13+3 and progressing well

Why do they want you to stop it? Have they checked your levels?

I've been taking 200 mg supp 2xs daily & will until 16 wks. I started at 5 wks after + pregnancy test. Starting 16 wk - 37 wk I'll be receiving weekly progesterone shots. Praying we can sustain this pregnancy to 37 wks 🙏🏼 
If you still have suppositories, it's not going to hurt if you continue & tapper off.... Instead of stopping cold turkey!

I had a miscarriage and my doctor put me on progesterone this time when I got pregnant. He said by a certain time during pregnancy now your body will be producing enough on its own. Next visit just ask him to explain it to you. I'm sure he will. It made sense to me when my doctor explained everything in detail. However my doctor said most doctors take ppl off around 12 weeks..he didn't feel comfortable taking his patients off until 14weeks.

Same here, previous miscarriage. Doc had me on it until after 11th week. Now I'm 14.5 weeks and everything is great! - plus if you stay on it you'll be constipated for the next 6 months ☺️
