I just wanted to let any First Nations Canadian women know that if you have a Status Card and have access to non-insured health benefits (NIHB) that you can receive a manual breast pump free of charge, or they will cover the cost of a rental electric pump for as long as you need it. You just need to bring a prescription from your doctor to a pharmacy that rents them, and they'll do most of the paperwork for you and cover 100% of the cost. They said to allow about 6-8 weeks for processing so make sure you get on this early.
