I have planned mine and throwing it at our house in a couple of weeks. I like knowing what I am going to be doing versus what one of my friends would plan which could be off the wall saying some crazy friends lol don't get me wrong I love them to death, I just didn't want to wait around I'm due in the beginning of April and everybody was saying towards the end of March. I was like hell no we're doing it at the end of February lol

I don't think think there's anything wrong with it. My mom threw my bridal shower, meaning she paid for it, but I basically planned the whole thing.  I'm planning to do the same for my baby shower. Not that I don't trust other people to take over but I tend to be the most creative one of the group. If I'm not involved in planning, I have no idea what is going to come out.
