Josephine? Too old?

Question

We have to have a "J" name and I love the name Josie if it's a girl... so I thought we'd name her Josephine and call her Josie.  Any opinions?  My mom says it sounds too old fashioned, which is what I liked about it.

I think older names are making a comeback. I like it. It's classic and you can call her by the nickname.

We're naming our little one Esther, which isn't a particular common name (I've met a few older ladies, but no one my own age or younger with the name) I love it. 
I like Josephine, I think it's a lovely name (its my middle name though, so I might be a little biased!)

I agree with mom! Josephine does sound a bit old fashioned. I would choose another J name just to keep the options opened.

I would name her Josephine and call her Josie or another nick name .  Think of what her name will look like on a resume in 20 years .

I like it, as she gets older if she decided she wants something more "professional" she can go by Josephine, and if not she can keep going by Josie. I love old fashioned names. I have a niece named Victoria Kathleen, and I loooove her name. And her lol.
