When should you be concerned about infertility?

I've been off of birth control for a year now and my husband never pulls out....shouldn't I have become pregnant by now? Should I see a doctor? What steps do I take?

I had been off birth control for over a year and when I got married it only took us 5 months to get pregnant with my first. This time we have been trying to conceive for about a year for our second.... After my first I went back on birth control for a little but got back off of it. So it's the waiting game now. I hope this helps. It just takes time and every woman's body is different. I also started taking prenatals for 6 months before we started TTC. That helps get your body ready 😀

Unless you're actively trying (charting your cycle, trying specifically on days you ovulate) then you could just be missing your window. I know several couples who didnt actively try or prevent and it took them all 2+ years to "end up" pregnant, but when they actively tried for a second child, were prego inside 6 months. I wouldn't be worried about fertility if you haven't really been trying.

I would start by tracking your ovulation either by temping or using OPKs. You may be ovulating earlier or later than you think.
