ER Doctor said I wasn't pregnant. 😕
  I would have been 5w 3d when I started bleeding. I had taken 5 positive pregnancy tests on different days with different tests. I had unusual cramps for 2 weeks past AF due date. I was bloated, my breasts were heavy and painful.Â
  I continued to test and saw the line get progressively darker and then one day lighter until it was nearly gone so I knew what was coming. I had a few instances of spotting and when my bleeding started I was passing flesh colored and pink colored bits for the first couple hours and it was very clotty and stringy.
   I went to work the next day but I told my boss about it because I felt a bit too awful to be there and she told me to go to the doctor. Because of one sided pain they sent me to the ER, where I spent the whole day having things shoved up there, all the while bleeding... It was very embarassing.Â
  After all of it, we waited for results and the ER nurse told me that it was not ectopic and I wasn't even pregnant, I was just having a very late period. There was no hcg in my blood. I know my hcg remained low from the start and I saw it drop on the tests into a negative. She argued with me and insisted I was only having a period.
  Now I feel like my grieving process has been ruined and I have a hefty ER bill for it all. I feel as if I've gone crazy trying to prove to myself I was even pregnant to begin with and that I wasn't just crying over a very late period.Â
  I know it was early, but in that short time we celebrated and had sweet family moments, I told my daughter and she tried to yell at my stomach and say hello, and we talked about it a lot. Flushing it down the toilet made me sick, Now I'm not sure what to feel.Â
