When to buy pregnancy clothes?

I'm extremely early in my pregnancy but I'm worried that because of the way I'm built and the way my clothes fit now, that I won't be able to wear my normal clothes for too long. Especially if I gain weight anywhere besides my belly, like my upper arms or thighs/butt. When did you transition into maternity clothes? I'm already dreaming of maternity pants.

I put my maternity pants on when I found out, best decision ever I was so comfy. I started buying shirts around 12 weeks when my regular ones didn't fit. Do what makes you comfortable.

I'm 11 weeks 5 days and i have been living in the same 3 pairs of sweatpants which are extra large and im only a medium because i just want to be comfortable . I will be buying new pants and stuff but i def wont be looking all fancy because im so uncomfortable already and i know it gets worse from here . I always have a sports bra or tank tops on

Honestly, whenever you want to! There is no specific week. I started at 10 weeks because of the bloat, and I wear leggings a LOT.

I started wearing maternity shirts around 16/17 weeks. I've only bought one pair of maternity jeans. I've stayed in yoga pants and leggings for the entirety of my pregnancy. I'm 36+4. Really thought I was going to blow up like a whale, but thankfully I've really only gained weight in my stomach. Even though, now, as I get closer to the end of my pregnancy, I'm noticing weight gain in other places too. 
My advice is to not buy anything new until you're actually showing. Consignment shops and stuff until then, otherwise you're going to buy $30 jeans multiple times. New maternity shirts aren't cheap either. Though, usually, you can find good sales at Motherhood Maternity or target.

I had gained a little weight (15-20lbs) from my normal size, so my clothes weren't fitting as well as I would like anyway, then I got pregnant. My pants are a little snug around the middle. I've already been looking up maternity/baby consignment shops in the nice part of town that I plan to visit soon, if only to scope out for later. I've been wearing stretchy jegging pants nearly daily since I've gained weight. My skirts and slacks just don't fit quite right... And I guess they won't for about a year, but for a wonderful blessing of a reason 😊

I switched over to leggings pretty quick just for comfort but at about 13w I put on some elastic pants for work and they were too tight! I went out and got maternity stuff that day and it's so much better. Old navy and H&M have good stuff pants wise.

I'm 14 weeks now and I'm needing to shop for maternity pants... I'm only wearing leggings and some stretchy jeggings I had, and even my leggings are suddenly feeling tight on my belly.  For shirts, I'm still doing okay with some looser and flowy ones I had, but I'm sure I'll be needing even bigger ones of those soon too.

I got maternity jeans at like 14 weeks. So worth it. For tops I really just bought a size or two bigger. I mostly wear yoga pants and if I'm going out i wear maternity jeans or tights with a sweater dress. Luckily it's cold so I can just wear hoodies 😂
