Miscarriage?

I just wanted to ask if anyone has had a miscarriage? On Sunday we found out that we were expecting a baby then Tuesday the dr told me I'm having a miscarriage because my HcG levels dropped but I'm not having cramping or bleeding. They didn't give me any info on what to expect or anything else. If anyone has any advice to offer I would greatly appreciate it.

I'm sorry you're dealing with this. I had a miscarriage in Oct. It was the saddest I've ever been. Found out I was pregnant at the end of Sept. 2015. Throughout  Oct. had bouts of light spotting but no major pain, I went in for an ultrasound & they found a 6.5 week sized empty sac.  OB said my uterus was too small to do a D&C. We decided to wait for the natural miscarriage to happen instead of takin meds to speed things along. She thought it would take 1.5 to 2 weeks to happen. 2 weeks passed & nothing. Got acupuncture to try to help it along & 5 days later finally started bleeding, at 1st it wasn't any worse then a heavy period for about 3 days & then it changed, major clots & pain that was a 9 on the pain scale. Spent 11 hours in the emergency room on pain killers & anti nausea medicine, they did a pelvic exam and found that the sac was stuck in the opening of my cervix, they pulled it out & I had instant relief from the pain. I bled heavily for another 24 hours then it tapered off to spotting for 2 days. If (god forbid) I find myself in the same position again I will will ask for medication to help break things down & speed things up.

We were told to not have sex for 3 weeks after & to not TTC again until I had 2 normal periods. I have now had 2 normal on time periods that had regular flow & cramping & we are back to TTC so even with my very painful & crazy emergency room trip I'm all healed physically & trying to be hopeful. Be gentle w/ yourself over the next few weeks/months. Don't feel like there's a time limit on feeling sad about it. I'm a religious person, I'll pray you'll be able to get through this w/ minimal pain.

Hey Ashley, I had a missed miscarriage in November. I started spotting a tiny bit (brown blood) and had mild cramps around 12 weeks so I went to the ER and they did an ultrasound and blood test and the US showed that the baby stopped growing at 8w6d. It's possible to not have any symptoms right now if that's what's happening. It sucks and I wouldn't wish that on anyone. If you don't have any progression in the process in the next couple days I would go see your doctor and ask for a D&C or I got cytotec prescribed to me which speeds the process along (dialates your cervix and enduces cramping). You can get an infection from the tissue if it doesn't expel itself. If you have any question feel free to ask! I'm so sorry this is happening to you.

I had one at around 5/6 weeks and I bled for a couple of hours unruley heavy!!! It was the worst pain I've had in all my life, like worse worse worse period pain.

I went in the bath and just lay for hours as this relived the pain. As I got out the bath there was around 3 pieces of white and blood stretchy type skin stuff. I'm guessing it was the lining shredding away. After that everything went to normal.

Hi Ashely, right around this time last year. I went to hear my baby's heartbeat and they couldn't find it. Got sent for an ultrasound, showed an 8 week baby with no heartbeat. I had no symptoms of a miscarriage, no bleeding or cramping. They scheduled me for a D&C a few days later. And never had any symptoms. I am so very sorry for you loss. It was the hardest thing that has ever happened to me! Just started TTC a few months ago, fingers crossed! I hope you will try again
