Is it normal ?

One of my really close friends at school knew I was on my period (We have the same cycle dates). So she asked me if I had used tampons because she uses them and she loves them. I told her no I dont use them that I use pads...Is that normal to only been getting my period for around 7 or 8 months now and not have used a tampon yet?

I'm 19 and choose not to use tampons. I didn't try them until I was 18. Some girls can't use them anyway. I have tried them though. I would only use them if I had to, like at the beach for example.

I've always chose to wear pads. Tampons just aren't comfortable for me. It's not a big deal if you use pads or tampons, whatever works best for you.

I didn't use tampons til I lost my virginity. I was so scared to stick anything up there. I still prefer pads.

Totally normal. It is all by preference. But tampons carry many risks with them if not used properly. They're not usually recommended for young teens anyway.

I'm 25 and exclusively use pads (and will be switching to a reusable cup soon) because ami genuinely hate tampons!
