Poly cystic ovarian syndrome is a medical condition. 1 out of every 10 women have it in the US. It's a hormonal imbalance that is caused by problems with your insulin levels. It can cause excess hair growth, weight problems, fertility problems, etc. and can put you at higher risk for heart disease and type 2 diabetes. Some women can control it with diet and exercise and some need medications such as Metformin.

I have polycystic ovarian syndrome and it took a year and a half and many rounds of infertility treatments to get my miracle baby! It's definitely not something you want to know about from personal experience, that's for sure!
