Brushing teeth makes you sick?

So if I am pregnant I'll be 4 weeks tomorrow and I was brushing my teeth this morning and when I was brushing my tounge, I almost got sick and I usually don't have the feeling at all? Anyone else

I had to use children's toothpaste with my first pregnancy I was so sick, may help??❤️

I was like that for a long time. Try to change your tooth paste, I did (got some peppermint) and it helped me. Good luck!

Oh God, every time it's the same for me. I'm about to be 9 weeks and since I found out I was pregnant (week 3), I cannot brush my teeth as I used to. It takes me sooooo long because I always feel I'm going to throw up even before cleaning my tongue :( I even reduced the times I brush on a day... I know it sounds disgusting but I don't want to feel sick every time. So what I do is brush every morning and night, with lots of patience and deep breaths, and during the day I use Listerine and floss

Hopefully it won't last long! I haven't got sick brushing my teeth for a couple months now but just this past weekend I was and had just started brushing my tongue as my husband walked by the door and I gagged and made this horrible noise I could never imitate again to save my life and spit toothpaste all over my shirt hahaha needless to say I love him a little more now for still loving me through it haha

I knew i was pregnant cuz i felt naseous when brushing my teeth which is the first in my whole lifetime! I literally gagged at the thought of putting a toothbrush into my mouth..try using toothbrushes with very very soft bristles and use minimal toothpaste and see whether it helps!

Ha all week iv been sick as soon as iv brushed my teeth today as I don't have to be out iv not brushed yet and iv not been sick as of yet I think it's the teeth brushing that gets me but I can't exactly not brush for the next 6 months

That happened to me the first two pregnancies  and now has just begun with this one as well. It is so frustrating  gagging and if I have anything in my stomach even water it comes up. To me it's just a side effect of pregnancy  for me!

Same here. I'm 6 and a half weeks and every time I brush my teeth I end up over the toilet for about 30 mins. I'm not sure if its the flavor or the motion but something's making me nauseous.
